This deluxe Merino wool half pad is hand cut in one full piece with no center seam. The edges are reinforced with edge stitching. When you place the wool against your horses back the natural leather hide lining grips the underside of your saddle. You can layer blankets or other pads of top. This luxurious half pad puts the padding where the weight is - where it is needed most. The flexible leather will shape itself to the horse and riders needs. The thick wool edges roll back on its own! This pad is particularly popular with Barrel racers and English riders.

** WORD OF CAUTION when choosing your color.  We do not recommend using a darker color wool against lighter colored horses as sometimes the pH balance of the horses sweat can interact with the wool dye causing "dye migration".
